Using youtube to your advantage

We are lucky enough to live in an age where we have access to the best drum lines in the world 24/7. It can't be overstated how much can be learned simply by observing the best. If you are looking to progress yourself as a drummer there are few things more helpful than observing and emulating the best.

Go find your favorite drummer on you tube, It can be someone from any drum line. Study everything you can about the way that they play. The way they carry themselves, the way their sticks move, or the way that they perform. After you know these things just apply them to yourself. Do you stand like they do? Do your sticks move like theirs do? Do you perform like they do? if you can answer yes to all of these questions you are probably on your way to becoming successful.
